embroidered jeans

Kiernan Shipka was photographed out in Los Angeles, wearing a pair of star embroidered Madewell Jeans. The jeans are a limited edition and small batch, Rivet & Thread design, sailor inspired, with a cropped flare and patch pockets in front.

Embroidered and painted jeans, actually, embellished jeans of all kind, are slowly, but surely taking over again. These Madewell cropped flares are kind of “light”, not too much embroidered, but rather cute and totally wearable. I don’t like too overdone jeans in general, as they always strike me as trying too hard. The stars on these jeans here are rather fun and playful, as opposed to overbearing and overdone embroideries we have seen on quite a lot of jeans lately.

You can also buy similar “lightly” embroidered jeans from Citizens of Humanity, Frankie, and Rebecca Taylor.

  1. LOVE the Frankie jeans. Embroidery means nothing if the jeans aren’t well cut & designed. The Frankie would be even better with bigger, lower pockets. They have to be worn extra loose to get the pockets in the right place. But the only thing keeping me from ordering is sticker shock. I love the Frankie jeans.
