Rocket Hi Rise Skinny

We are following up with some more advice about how to avoid that our skinnies slide down at the butt when we sit, or bend down. We have asked California brand, Citizens of Humanity, to give us their view.

Citizens of Humanity Women’s Designer, Alaina Miller, provided some expert advice on a solution to this issue:

“We use a fabric that has great stretch and recovery (meaning the fabric doesn’t become loose as you wear it) and should not be sliding down. Our SCULPT collection is comprised of denims with these characteristics. Skinny jeans should not be uncomfortably tight, but should be snug from the waist to the thighs to prevent them from sliding down.”

My experience with the CoH jeans is very positive. I would like to mention also the fact that generally, their jeans tend to be a bit more mid-weight, and this helps a lot. Very light-weight denim tends to stretch easier and give more.

You can buy Citizens of Humanity Jeans on their website, at Club Monaco, and at Shopbop.

  1. Sounds great! I have been meaning to try COH. Are there any stores in WLA that sell the small sizes?

The pictures above look perfect, except for the halo on the calves and seat. I’m fine if the jeans look washed, jot air brushed.

    • Hi! Would suggest checking out Barney’s, Nordstrom, or Anthropologie – all have a great selection! x

  2. Citizens are my favorite fit out of all the denim I have. They stretch to feel so comfy and never lose their shape. Love the wash on the jeans in the post.
