It’s been quite a while since we last posted about denim skirts…seems that the jeans are always taking priority! But after having lived through yet another New York Fashion week, I felt inspired to do this post because I have seen a revival of denim skirts all over: in the showrooms, on the catwalks, and especially on the streets in NYC.
Even though it was the height of winter time with snow and mud and rain, I saw a lot of denim skirts worn with leggings or over jeans, and with over-the-knee-boots, paired with heavy sweaters and jackets.
Hopefully soon we will be able to ditch all the cold weather stuff and bare our legs again. Nothing better than a skirt to show off your newly tanned and sculptured legs!
We have rounded up some options, let us know what you think and what you would pair them with!

An flirty and feminine take on a denim skirt

A knee-length for who doesn’t do mini!

Two-toned distressed, frayed hems, and patches – total trend!

Black and blue denim, shadow effects, hi-low hem

Patch pockets and delicate embroidery

Very distressed patched up!

The hem makes us think of cuffed jeans!

Ripped, distressed, frayed hems, and maxi with a long revealing slit in front – totally eye-catching
I love an easy denim midi cut off at just the right place(s). I like an uneven hem, so long at it’s not a mini in front and maxi in back.
The skirts above are trying too hard. I’m tired of faux fade and distress. A center slit looks good on no one. I would always opt for shorts instead of an above the knee denim skirt. I love to dress up long denim shorts.
PS I love the back pockets on the BASSIKE. I just would never wear a skirt with that unflattering cut out in the back. 3 places on a woman’s body that are not for showing off: lower side of the breast, lower side of the seat and the inner knee. No matter how perfect you are, the spotlight is not flattering there, tolerable at best.
Love the black and white tee. They are not all created equal.
My closet needs the river island skirt!
