straight leg jeans

After an “overdose” of Alessandra Ambrosio in the past few years, we thought it would be cool to post her wearing some denim every once in a while again!

Alessandra was spotted out in Beverly Hills talking on her cell (she ALWAYS seems to do this when we post about her J). She was clad in a pair of medium wash and rather low rise straight leg jeans, teamed with a pair of suede Saint Laurent ankle boots, and an off-the-shoulder sweater tucked halfway into the waistband of the jeans. Alessandra looked cool and edgy, a great everyday-look outfit, perfect for running errands and shopping, of course.

Alessandra’s jeans feature a frayed, uneven step-hem and a  different color seam along the front of the legs. The wash is almost acid, but not quite, more of a vintage-like medium blue wash, and the back pockets still feature a a shadow effect, which, in my opinion, has had its five minutes fame already, very last year.

You can buy straight leg jeans with frayed hems at Nordstrom.

  1. i really like her outfit. and i actually don’t mind the seam in the front. though she is the type who can make anything look good. i’m not saying that is a bad thing.

  2. This is the first time I have seen seams look good in the front, but these jeans are quite unflattering from the back, even on an ideal body. And the silly pocket markings make that area the focal point.

    • PS. an expert article on how not to look like this from the back would be appreciated. I have this issue often, sometimes with jeans that looked flawless when I tried them on before purchase, stretch or not, and denim or not. My theory is that it has to do with tailoring, and if stretchy, has to do with uneven stretch, especially excessive horizontal stretch. But I have a pair of no-stretch, thick denim skinny jeans that do this, too. Frame skinny jeans don’t have this issue, but I’d like to be able to shop additional brands.
