So, let’s give those seen everywhere cropped and frayed hem skinnies a break now!
Time to show off your original style and be fashion-setting, and not fashion-following! And for this we believe that a good option would be to go for a straight leg, but without the short crop and fray. Or, better still, the one that are ankle-length but with a finished hem. Just do them the “regular” way with the original hem and in the original length. Especially now, when winter is (hopefully) in it’s last throes and we can still wear our booties or boots even. And there is the added benefit that longer jeans worn with a bit of a heel always make us look taller and slimmer.

Good straight jeans are harder to find than skinny jeans. The wrong size or cut can make athletic people look like they have no muscle, add bulk to perfectly good figures or hide great legs. Try on 3 different sizes and look in a 3 way mirror in good light before buying. I love the McGuire Valetta Straight Leg Jeans. I would love them more without the faux fade. I have a couple of pair of straight leg jeans in heavy rotation. When you find a flattering pair, they make life easier. I like large, dropped, somewhat close together pockets for a good rear view, but I still love the new cockeyed looking ones from Rag & Bone. I will certainly wear them cropped and oversized in summer, but not when it’s cold.
