frayed hem jeans

A very happy looking and tanned Lea Michele was leaving the Soho House in Malibu with an equally happy looking girlfriend, and both of them were wearing equal looking dark blue skinny stretch jeans with frayed hems! 😉

While Lea’s jeans were just a cut-off hem, her friend’s jeans had a step hem, meaning that the hem was longer in the back than in the front. Now you all know the difference between a frayed hem and a step hem. Today’s denim-lesson is over.

Lea did add an oversized light blue denim jacket for a double denim look, and completed her outfit with a white plunge-neck silk top and brown wedge sandals.

Check out some cool frayed hem jeans here, and some step hem jeans here.

  1. I like the light blue denim jacket. The jeans with the knee rip look like a solid wash, which is much better than the faux fade with the fake light area down the thigh. We don’t see either of the m from the back and we don’t know how long these jeans have been on or how new they are. Both look pretty nice and smooth from the front, at this resolution, from this angle. A perfect pair of dark blue skinnies without any faux would be a great find.
These outfits and the faux tans are so very tacky but the solid blue skinny jeans and the oversized light blue jacket look good.
