boyfriend jeans

I am currently in Munich, Germany, and of course I had to pass by one of my most favorite European denim stores, CLOSED. Located in the heart of Munich, it has been my denim home away from home for years. CLOSED jeans have always had a special place in my denim-heart because they have been original and unique in their styles and washes ever since I have known the brand. Their pedal pushers were revolutionary at a time when everybody was just thinking about regular bootcuts or flare jeans.

At my visit to the store, the one pair that really made my “instant obsession”, was an extremely unique boyfriend jean. The top of the jeans is cut like the famous CLOSED regular pedal pusher, with the trademark X-pockets in front. But the legs are a cropped tapered wide leg, insane. Being that I am on the shorter side (5″4′), regular wide leg jean just don’t do it for me, especially since I am not into platforms or high heels. The tapered and shortened inseam was just “custom-made” for me!

The jeans are made of strong authentic black stretch denim (12 ounces) in the 80’s-look from Candiani, the premium denim manufacturer in Italy, and are available on the CLOSED website.

And they also come in a blue wash – see last image below – just that these are made of 100% cotton. The wash is a medium vintage-like blue without any distressing, just a kind of “worn-in” fading. You can buy the blue ones here.
