cropped jeans

This past summer was all about cropped jeans with frayed, unfinished, and undone hems, and this trend is very likely not going anywhere soon.

But my problem with unfinished hems in winter is that it tends to look sloppy. Like when it’s raining or snowing, and freezing outside and you have to walk in the mud… I am sure you get my picture.

But as I am no way ready to give up on cropped jeans – (I am on the short side with 5’4″) this style is a heaven sent for me – the next best thing is a FINISHED cropped hem.

The rag & bone Men’s Engineer Pant is in fact a woman’s jean, but of course, dudes are super invited to wear them as well! After all, the original engineer jeans were really made for men.

The rag & bone interpretation is kind of a mix of these old style engineer jeans with a crooked seam, but totally adapted to today’s fit, slouchy but not too overly baggy at the hips. The jean’s legs start like a boyfriend style and gradually taper off towards the hem. They also feature a reinforced triple stitch inside hem. Made of 100% cotton, these jeans feel and look like authentic vintage jeans.

One of the best things about these bad boys is that they let you so totally show off your boots, not to mention that you can walk in the muddy snow (this is New York, guys!) without having to worry about fraying treads getting all dirty and wet.

You can buy the rag & bone Engineer jeans on their website.
