2016 saw the launch of The Cooper Collection – three distinct jeans fits for men and women, each style crafted from the finest raw blue selvedge denim, echoing the legacy of the Lee Cooper brand, its East London roots and its workwear history. To follow up with the core range, the F/W ’17 collection introduces an extended range of apparel, seeing further development into its dedication to premium artisan construction and design.
The range debuts additional jean styles, cut and sew pieces, jersey garments and outerwear. F/W ’17 also heralds the launch of new collaboration with East London based denim ateliers Blackhorse Lane.
For men, the range expands upon The Cooper Collection’s core jean offering, with new styles like the Bertie, a drop crotch cropped leg jean, and Percy, a pleated tapered jean, joining an updated Harry, that features dry resin spots and patches. Also included is the Clifford, a workwear jacket, and sweatshirts in heather grey and indigo to accompany the denim bottoms and outerwear.
For women, the range also expands upon The Cooper Collection’s core jean, with the introduction of Emily, a carrot leg jean featuring pleating, creating a tailored look within a casual trouser. The Audrey, a Harrington style denim jacket, and sweatshirts in heather grey and indigo are great options to pair with the denim and the outerwear.
All garments are expertly handmade by specialist denim makers, and feature traditional techniques and contemporary details, including solid copper finishing.
“We feel that with this F/W ’17 range, we achieved a “head to toe look” for those who are
searching for an authentic, contemporary, urban blue denim range, with strong vintage workwear accents, and a take on modern denim and indigo fits”, explains Tilmann Wrobel, Creative Director of the The Cooper Collection.
Made in East London – Blackhorse Lane Ateliers
To pay homage to Lee Cooper’s East London roots and celebrate its founding heritage, The Cooper Collection have collaborated with Blackhorse Lane Ateliers to create a capsule collection, Made in East London. The collection consists of three jean styles, and one shirt option, in varying weights of superior quality raw denim. Highlights include the Dudley jean created from 15.5 oz denim, and the Edmund jean that features a traditional one piece fly production technique for a more premium finish.
