California based denim brand, Father’s Daughter is a small family owned workshop in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Every piece is made with labor and shared love of denim.
Father’s Daughter is a return to handcrafted garments that are part of the slow-fashion movement looking for well-made items produced domestically. The denim label was started two years ago with the first collection launching early last year.
According to Su, the daughter: “We have various fits from 4 way stretch skinnies that have naturally worn authentic washes, to high rise comfort stretches in distressed American blues.
Our jeans are a mixture of clean and authentically stone washed jeans. We mix it up with hi-low fraying for Spring 18.
What makes our jeans set apart is the process. We treat every garment like a sample because we are small batch. Perfect pattern and construction done in our workshop under the watchful eye of my father, and washing done in LA facilities known for artisan washing and hand whiskering.”
We love the idea of a family owned business and handmade denim. Hopefully they will be abe to keep up with the ever-growing mass production denim market. We are rooting for them.
