The 8th edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo, which took place on the 9th and 10th of May, 2018, at International Convention Center, Bashundhara in Dhaka was a huge success. The response of buyers, retailers, and local manufacturers was impresive.

During the expo, global apparel buyers and retailers praised Bangladesh’s progress in denim industry, especially the introduction of technology to improve products quality.

Representative from different brands and retailers came up with the appraisal, while they were visiting Bangladesh Denim Expo, a two day international exposition dedicated to promote Bangladesh denim industry.

61 Exhibitors from 14 countries, including Bangladesh, participated at the show making it a perfect place for sharing and gathering knowledge and ideas that will rule the denim world in the coming days.

A total of 5,332 people from 1003 companies of 50 countries visited the Expo, expressing expressing deep satisfaction over the expo arrangement and product quality.

This edition of expo focused on “Equality” that talked about equal rights for workers and employers, to ensure that both are treated with respect and can enjoy a good working relationship.

“Bangladeshi denim manufacturers are trying their best to make everything perfect. I can see that day by day developing a lots improving themselves. The country is striding towards technological investment in the sector,” said Fabien Liautard, Project Manager of Jeanologia.

“Bangladesh is very good market for the European Union as well as for us customers.”  Fabien completed.

“We have made investment in the technology of manufacturing denim products, resulting in  increase of the product’s quality and value. As a result, buyers’ confidence in Bangladesh for sourcing denim products is increasing,” commented Mohammed Sohel Rana, Director (Merchandising and Marketing) of Nassa Group, who participated in the expo.

“Bangladeshi manufacturers also have made lot of investment in research and innovation and the sector soon will be known as a value added products manufacturer,” he added.

“Bangladesh Denim Expo is all about promoting the Bangladesh’s strength and capacity of denim fabrics manufacturing. We also focus on the latest innovation and technology, making it all available for the manufacturers,” Founder & CEO of Bangladesh Denim Expo Mr. Mostafiz Uddin said.

“In this edition, we have proven that Bangladesh is no longer a country for sourcing basic products only. Our efforts to promote the denim industry and to make it as best sourcing hub for denim products, are clearly showing.”

It also offered a comprehensive overview of the scope of products available in Bangladesh, as well as trend predictions for the coming season.
