straight leg jeans

Lots of you guys out there will remember Ksubi, the Australian brand, for their super cool ripped and distressed jeans. Long before ripped jeans even became a must-have item, Ksubi already had them.

The company had been sold and went through some changes and now they are back full force with their new women’s collection. Their men’s denim has been back for a few seasons now and if you want to check these out – they’re available at Nordstrom and Revolve.

One of the reasons why I have chosen Ksubi’s Chlo Wasted Jean to feature this week is because they are a perfect mix of vintage and modern.

Distressed and faded, with rips along the front of the legs, the wash is a cool worn-in vintage light blue.

What I love about the style is that even though they do have a straight leg, the fit is more on the skinny side. This means that it’s a spot-on trendy jean made of rigid 100% cotton denim with a sexy fit.

Another feature that I have always cared for – and very much so – is the “non-label” label on the back with the Ksubi trademark eight tiny stitched stars below. Distinctive and very different, I always used to love this detail (see image below).

If you are not into ripped and distressed jeans, the same style also comes in a very light blue, almost bleached wash. There is no distressing, fading, and no ripping, just a more distinctive fraying at the hems. You cannot go wrong with these as a summer must-have.
