Vietnam has become one of the favorite destinations for the sourcing heads now and the recent events including the CPTPP treaty, upcoming EVFTA treaty and the closing down of many Chinese apparel companies brought a lot of spotlight to Vietnam. Amidst all, the 3rd season of Denimsandjeans Vietnam – An International Denim & Sportswear Chain Show, scheduled for June 27th and 28th at Ho Chi Minh City has been attracting the attention of apparel retailers, brands and factories, especially from EU and US regions. Here are the five reasons as to why you can’t miss this Maiden Denim Show In Vietnam:

1. The Theme – ROCK N ROLL

ROCK N ROLL is bringing into focus the important place that denim occupies in the rock and roll history. Denim and rebel music have had a long-standing relationship that goes all the way back to the days of Elvis Presley, James Dean, the Beatles, Rolling Stones and other names around the 60s. Basically evolving from American origins, the Rock n Roll developed sub cultures in UK and several styles started becoming synonymous with it.

The rock n roll looks and its effect on denim can be seen in resurgence with skinny jeans for men and dark and grunge denims, leather combinations and more! This show will be a small tribute to the classic era of Rock N Roll Fashion and their pioneers including Elvis Presley & James Dean etc.

The show has exhibitors from over 10 countries including Vietnam, India , Switzerland , Korea , Singapore , Thailand , HongKong, China , and Pakistan . Many Reputed International Denim Fabric Producers, Garment Manufactures and Accessories & Technology companies are participating in this edition. The show has become one of the much awaited Sourcing event and has been making its mark on the sourcing scene .

2. DENIM ROCK N ROLL TREND ZONE

The 3rd edition of Denimsandjeans Vietnam also brings TREND AREA – where latest innovations in the denim industry were displayed from all exhibitors. There are many categories under which the trend area has been divided, the categories are as below:

Top Stitched : A new trend where unwashed denim with strong character – special yarns , finishing , plain 2×1, 3×1 weavings and lustre on the surface enables the heavy top stitching thread to stand out and create a contrast between the fabric and the thread . Minimal or no washing but the combination of fabric character, stitching thread and accessories makes the garment stand out. Some also use exposed zippers in this combination.

Two Tone Denim: A pair of jeans that is making style statement is the two tone jeans. Color blocking takes the jeans/jackets to the next level. Also used by female consumers to artificially get the slim down looks. Select the right fabric combinations (stretchability and other parameters) with right mix of different wash down levels to achieve the interesting contrasts.

Laser Art: Laser is increasingly becoming the tool to combine sustainability with art. Art is increasingly being expressed through lasers in terms of distressing effects, floral patterns, chequered designs on the denim garments. The right combination of indigo/black colored fabric and artists’ design enables the creation of wonderful pieces appealing to consumers.

Mother Earth: Mother earth implores upon us to care for her – use good cotton, less water, less chemicals and lesser of other resources. We respect her and create products under three broad categories a)Cotton : 100% BCI , Organic or Recycled cottons used b) Less chemicals c) Less water

We Rock:This category demonstrates the key selections of the exhibitors – their favorite structures, weaves, finishes and colors . In short, this is category where the exhibitors can play around and display their best products.
