I am sure you all know the feeling of – I really should do or try something that I normally wouldn’t. It’s like this with me when I see a denim style that I don’t absolutely think is my kind of denim, but being that I am constantly hearing about it and seeing it on all kind of people, well, I just need to find out for myself.
This is the case of the Topshop Moto Wide-Leg Jeans. Until recently, you wouldn’t have caught me dead in a pair of regular length wide legs. First off, because I am rather on the shorter side with 5″4′, and also I never wear heels or platform sandals. The most I do is stock heel cowboy boots and platform sneakers.
Well, to come to the point. I decided to give the wide leg (un-cropped) a try. But of course, I would never spend half a fortune on anything when I am not convinced that I am going to love it. This is why I chose this pair – for $90 you can’t go very wrong, right!
But besides the reasonable price, I also loved the light blue wash without any rips and just some slight whiskering on the front of the hips and upper legs. It’s a perfect summer jean, and you all know that I absolutely love 100% cotton denim.
So far, I have already worn these jeans for a couple of days out, with some fitted cropped tops from Adidas and Flynn Skye, and my beloved Converse platform sneakers. I felt “light” (the jeans are a lighter weight than most of my regular jeans), and also felt a total freedom of movement. Something that I miss when I wear more fitted jeans in summer. These tend to stick to my legs, and, oh boy, I don’t have to tell you about the NYC subway station with a temperature of 100 degrees and up.
Have a look at these jeans here. And we’d love for you to let us know in a comment below how you feel about wide leg jeans, the “real McCoy”, and not the cropped ones! 😉
