Actually, this post started with me going through my sweater closet to see which of my sweaters were still “doable” and which ones to finally ditch. Point is that I haven’t been into buying new sweaters for quite a few years, maintaining my stock of classic cashmeres and chunky wool-knits. They’re all still in pretty good shape and for a long time I hadn’t seen any new exciting sweater styles that would actually animate me to go for them.
Also, there is the fact that with my closet full of pretty much destructed and ripped jeans, a classic cashmere always worked well to even up the outfit, make it look a bit more winter-like. I had only been adding tons of new sweatshirts in all colors and with lots of graphics and label names, I can’t even think of adding another one.
Imagine my surprise when I started receiving intros to new sweater brands in my Inbox and actually felt like clicking on some of them and ACTUALLY falling in love.
And the sweater that kind of started it all is the one from J.ING shown above. That grey Henley style so reminds me of granddad… He used to wear one just like that in a burgundy color and with leather elbow patches. From the same brand, there is also that chunky super-sized and fun sweater (below), that I am sure lots of you guys will love
This is why I have to share with you some of the newest “drumroll please” sweaters. And you aren’t going to find any so 2015, 2016, 2017 etc. sweater suggestions here, more likely some 1960’s, trust me on this!
