Vintage and re-purposed rigid denim vintage jeans are a big must-have, you can’t go wrong in these. Most of them actually are straight leg, or maybe the slightest bit tapered if they are re-furbished.
Yep – it’s a fact. The straight leg rigid denim jeans have actually surpassed the popularity of the skinny stretch jeans.
And no, I am not part of the gang that is constantly declaring that skinny jeans are so over. On the contrary, I believe that skinny jeans will always be a part of anyone’s denim closet. They are a classic. And there will always be some occasion when a pair of skinny jeans is just the right and perfect jean to wear.
BUT, let’s face it. Our closets are already stocked with skinnies in all washes and styles. And it doesn’t make much sense to add yet another pair. If you are out there looking to renew your denim stock for 2019, then you should opt for another style, like exactly the 100% cotton straight leg. Or, if you can’t live without your stretch, up to 2% Elastane is okay. Your jeans will still look and feel like real denim.
The 100% cotton straight legs (no stretch involved) have been a best seller in most of the denim retailers and online. And if you look around, on your street, at your Starbucks, at your nail salon, and at your fave bookstore…. what’s the most prevalent denim style you are seeing?!?!!!!
Yeah, and check out also the celebrity posts @Denimology, if you still need some convincing LOL!
a “well behaved” wash and style!
But who says straight leg jeans have to be “serious”
Go for a different kind of “closure”
A medium blue vintage wash is always a good choice
With just a tiny bit of stretch
A bit of a wider straight leg and rips – if you are looking for edginess
With a longer inseam and a looser fit – go for edgy
And some like it shorter…
Love some paint splattered and worn-in denim?
Whites are super trendy – all seasons
