As you all know, rigid denim is my thing, and you also know that I am all about boyfriends, right?!
And a few weeks ago I even mentioned here in a post that unfortunately we have not been seeing a lot of grey denims out there and how we all miss it.
So no question about today’s choice of top jean: It’s a boyfriend, it’s 100% cotton, and it’s grey. Once again LA brand, Citizens of Humanity, hit the nail on the head with their Corey Crop Slouchy Slim jean.
“A fresh take on the boyfriend jean, the Corey Crop features a cut-off, cropped hem. Crafted from non-stretch denim, the Smoke wash is a vintage washed blue black.”
I have been a devoted fan of the Corey jean for quite a few years. Some with a little stretch, and I also have a couple of 100% cotton. Both options run true to size, even though I like to up-size sometimes for a more relaxed look. I have come to think of the Corey as THE classic go-to boyfriend jean throughout the years. And I also like that they do not have an extremely high rise, but are rather mid- to low-rise, which is definitely how boyfriends should be worn: slouchy and lower rise.
The Corey also comes in different lengths and washes, as well as in a short. Check them out here. And if you’d rather go for a regular boyfriend jean that is less slim but also not too baggy, then you’d love the Citizens of Humanity Emerson jean, which is actually my second best choice when it comes to my boyfriends.
