For months now we have been previewing new denim trends and washes for 2019.
You, our readers, have sent us a lot of e-mails asking about it, as well as lots of my friends and anyone who knows that I am working with denim… the big question generally is which denim trend is worth investing in.
With all the sales happening right now, and the new jeans collections beginning to be delivered to the stores, the main questions are: Which are the trends and styles to go for, and even pay more money for, and which are the ones to ditch, or to buy only because it’s cheap or on sale, fun, and fashionable for the next five minutes.
We decided to take the question of new denim trends even further and have asked the representatives of denim brands about styles and washes they will be delivering to the stores throughout the spring and summer seasons this year. And here is the first part of what they told us is going to be hot and trendy.
“We have a new fit for Spring 2019 called the Lillie that’s one of our strongest denim style for Spring 19, and in our new Photo Ready HD Fabric. Our Heather, Joan Crop, and Joan Full length are a few of our other key styles for the season that we love.”
And for the J Brand men’s denim:
This year J Brand introduced the their Seriously Soft Fabric. The Tyler in Infograph and Nullite were made with this fabric which feels “almost too soft to be real”.
RE/DONE has just launched their men’s line of RE/DONE Levi’s denims and their core line is all about the slim fit jean and the cuff shorts.
This is great news also for us denim ladies who love to wear men’s jeans as well. Stay tuned for updates about the men’s fit and washes here @Denimology.
As for the women’s collection, RE/DONE tells us:
“For RE/DONE in 2019, we are obsessed with 90’s styles and washes. We already released our 90s Jean in RE/DONE | Levi’s, which is a great loose fit, but we have a number of other 90’s inspired styles dropping later this year. There will be a number of lower rise jeans too.”
The washes continue in all shades of vintage blues for both the men’s and the women’s.
Actually, I can wholeheartedly confirm that the most popular trend for almost all denim brands is going to be the 90′ jean – check out the RE/DONE above.
And the second most popular denim must-have trend will be – no- already is, the super high rise in many different styles, like the J Brand’s shown here.
Stay tuned here for more!
