What with all the vintage denim rage going on, there is nothing more delightful than discovering that another one of America’s denim icon brands, Wrangler, is re-launching some of their core denims. Jeans that once were, and are again. Jeans that we can’t wait to add to our denim closet.
Wrangler presents: Icons
“Every icon has an origin story. With roots going back to 1904 as a workwear company, Wrangler was born in 1947 to serve the western cowboy market. Within two short decades, a cultural revolution had changed the world and Wrangler had moved with it.
What had started as functional utilitywear, designed to withstand rugged work, soon became the uniform of the youth movement. Created for rodeo riders and ranch hands, Wrangler was adopted by rebels and rock stars.
Among the legends, there are six iconic products that have been with us throughout our 70-year journey. They are definitive, cult icons, from the 124MJ jacket, which became the
archetypal denim jacket, to the 27MW western shirt, created for cowboys but embraced by rock stars.
Wrangler reissues the authentic 11MWZ, our first jean and the original slim fit cowboy cut, and re imagines a women’s style.
These are icons steeped in heritage, but reinvented for today. Icons live forever.”
The collection is available on the Wrangler website now.
