You can probably imagine my surprise when I first saw these jeans and found out that they were actually a pair from the DL1961 brand.
A brand, that I have come to associate with super stretch and skinny…. at least, this was the impression I have had ever since the brand launched. After all, they were one of the first denim brands to come out with – what – two/three/four way stretch?!
Cool to know that now with all the rigid denim and vintage rage going on, DL1961 opened up and also included a couple of rigid denim jeans in their new spring ’19 collection.
The Hepburn High Rise Wide Leg Jean incorporates all that is so very RN and will be THE thing for this coming spring and summer:
High rise, a cropped wide leg with super cool distressing at the hems, and a bleached and very summer like wash. This wash, by the way, is not the only wash in this style, au contraire, if you go to the DL1961 website, you can find them in eight different washes.
And besides this bleached and distressed pair, my close second choice is the same style in a bit darker, very vintage-like, wash with super cool details along the inside of the legs – see images below.
