It’s okay to shop for an outrageously expensive Gucci handbag, even though you can buy bags for way less almost everywhere you go.
Same applies to jeans.
As I have pointed out several times already, sometimes in life it is absolutely necessary to splurge. Period. Be it because we want to give ourselves a special gift, or be it because most of the time it is exactly like you get what you pay for.
You don’t have to feel guilty if every once in a while you absolutely fall for a more pricey pair of jeans. It might be that you will be paying for a quite unique style, wash, or cut. And it’s also very likely you will be paying for a pair of premium denim jeans.
“Premium” as a word is not just about the final product or the price of the denim:
Premium denim as a product and culture originated in Los Angeles, California.
Premium denim refers to the entire denim production process which is one of quality, care, innovation and craftsmanship.
The reason premium denim prices are much higher is due to the weaving, which is much thicker than “ready to wear” denim. And, with jeans that have a stretch to them, the natural (denim) fibers are more apparent rather than the spandex in non-premium brands.
Besides our very own premium denims, there are a lot of high quality jeans made of Japanese, Italian, or Turkish denim available out there. It doesn’t really make a difference to where the jeans you are buying originate from, as along as they make you happy and not feel guilty about splurging for them.
You probably don’t want to spend a fortune on a pair of jeans that look just like any pair of $20 or $50 or similar ones, you are looking for something special, for a certain detail or design that makes all the difference.
Here are some great options for you to splurge on, be it for the design, or the details, or the eye-catching look – whatever floats your boat – splurge and enjoy!
Yeah, that’s “real” 100% cotton denim – with snakeskin print
