First time we ever post about Japanese brand, Facetasm. It’s because we got hooked when we saw their spring/summer ’20 fashion show which took place in Paris this week. Besides including a super cool re-purposed Levi’s denim capsule, the brand is also all about being genderless. Hence, the “faceless” models, their features hidden by wigs or lace-edged veils.
No definition for either men’s or women’s clothes – this is way to go. Like I have been wearing men’s shirts, tees and, especially men’s jeans, since forever.
The show opened with a Levi’s capsule inspired by a visit to the denim heavyweight’s California archives. The ubiquitous 501 jean was twisted around the body, while other styles were cut apart and laced back together with the ties forming fringes.
