Grey denim is and always has been my way out of one of my biggest denim dilemmas. Every once in a while, when looking at my denim closet, I get these really overwhelming blues (no pun!), like almost all of the closet is basically blue and black. And sometimes I just want to do something different, but without having to give up my denim.
White is often difficult for me to carry off in the mostly filthy and grimy New York City subways and streets. Not that I wouldn’t love to don some whites or beiges every once in a while, but these light colors are just not a very good option.
So this is why grey is the best solution for me – and I believe you will go there with me!
Frame’s newest rendition of bringing back the good old denim styles with a modern take includes these Le Nouveau Straight Leg jean. The grey wash is perfect. Not too faded or distressed, just some stronger stone-washing on the strategically right places like along the knees and just a slight fraying at the hems.
The Nouveau jeans are a mid-rise style and come in an ankle length. They are made of non-stretch 100% cotton denim which is what fashion “demands” right now.
And if grey is not really your thing, the same style also comes in a beautiful vintage-like medium blue wash.
