We’re like absolutely and definitely done with our winter shopping. And no way we’re going to let that limbo vibe take us over, feeling like “lost in space”! We are already moving into spring mode, well, pre-spring mode, at least.
Camos and animal prints are coming up again, not that they have been “out” the last few seasons, but kind of also running. But we can definitely confirm that those are going to be seen everywhere this spring and summer. The camouflage pants are coming in their usual baggier and straighter leg fits as well as in some skinny versions.

Rigid denim and straight cut jeans, as well as slim straights are going to be stronger than ever. So if you are a skinny jean fan, you may want to ditch your stretchy things and opt instead for a pair of slim fitting straight legs made of rigid denim. Still, a small percentage of Elastane or any kind of stretch (not more than 2% at the most) is “permitted”. As long as the jeans look and feel like actual denim and not like leggings.
But for those of you still not ready to retire your beloved skinnies, we also hear you! Stay tuned for our report about the newest skinnies out there coming up soon.
As far as distressing and rips go – these are coming back as strong as ever. Present in almost every denim collection we have seen so far, after a long winter of cleaner and rather somber washes, distressed jeans are going to triumph again.
And about those frayed and unfinished hems… we’re going to see a lot less of those. Most jeans are already now featuring an ankle or cropped length with a finished hem. Too bad for us shorter ladies, but, as we always point out, we dictate fashion, not copy it. So go ahead and cut off your new jeans’ hem the way you love it!
