Artistic Milliner’s second event in the Milliners Soho Masterclass Series was held on February 27, 2020 titled UN 2030: Agenda and Sustainable Goals.

Between bites and drink, a discussion was held with the guest speaker, Claire Kells, Senior Manager, Participant Engagement of the United Nations Global Compact.

The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary initiative based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to undertake partnerships in support of UN goals.

This Masterclass is a workshop with the UNGC Compass Model, which provides guidance for companies on how they can align their strategies as well as measure and manage their contributions to the realization of the sustainable development goals.

Artistic Milliners became the official signatories of the UN Women Empowerment
Principles as participants of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and ranked among the 2018 FT&HERoes Champions of Women in business list.

The company is Pakistan’s first FAIR-TRADE certified factory which represents safe and healthy working conditions, sustainable livelihood for the people behind it, environmental protections and additional funds to empower worker communities.

Conceived by the Milliners Think Tank Team, Artistic Milliners Soho Series is an interactive platform involving joint intellectual effort by members of the denim supply chain as well as NGO/NPO and industry pioneers. The series is designed to engage denim professionals actively in the learning process through inquiry and discussion with their peers. It is a kind of collaborative learning process through a society of recognized experts, respected industry authorities and renowned personalities in their
respective fields of expertise. The goal is to lead in-depth sessions that address current trends and best practices to inspire interactive discussions and group knowledge sharing.

Initially, Milliners Soho Series is planned to start with daily workshops each month, eventually adding live streaming, e-learning platforms and a digital library.
