black jeans

Being a total denim addict, one of the perks of being also a denim editor is that I get to look at jeans all the time. Part of my job description – obviously! And you know, I am always on the hunt for something a bit different, a detail, or a wash, or style…

And there is another thing. I love anything asymmetrical – especially when it comes to jeans. And these babies shown here, from sustainable denim brand, Boyish, are absolutely a hit with me.

The Casey with the asymmetrical fly is – as the Boyish guys so aptly describe them:

“Perfectly imperfect. A twist on your favorite vintage jeans.”

The style is a high waisted straight leg which is neither too loose nor too tight fitting. I have tried on a pair and let me tell you, the tricky part of the asymmetrical fly is executed to perfection. I have had issues with this kind of fly before, as they normally tend to bulge in front if they are not perfectly aligned.

The Casey jeans come in a vintage blue and in a black wash. They are made of rigid denim, including recycled cotton, reducing its carbon footprint and reducing water usage.

If you are looking for cool jeans that not only fit well but also have some extra noteworthy detail, then these are it!

The new Boyish spring collection includes also many other rad items, like jackets, overalls, and adorable denim dresses. Check them out on their website, at Verishop, and at Nordstrom.
