With all this free time – no Happy Hours (or Happy Anything), no rush hour stress, and nowhere else to go – it’s the perfect time for some nostalgic flashbacks.
While I was leafing through some old magazines about movies and former screen idols, look what I came across, and look how hot these two guys still are nowadays!
What can I tell you….these guys, Marlon Brando and James Dean, still do it for me every time I see their photographs. Both of them are totally rocking in their jeans, actually, in their denim uniforms!
Marlon’s “standard” look: perfectly fitting straight leg jeans, which even back then he wore cuffed at the ankles paired with a tight (sexy) fitting white t-shirt and a never-out-of-fashion black leather biker jacket.
And did you ever wonder what brand of jeans Marlon went for? His preferred jeans were the Levi’s 501 jeans. Popular back then and even more so today.
The 501 jeans are a must-have staple in any denim lover’s closet. Be it men’s or women’s. And we are totally on it. You can buy them online at Levi’s – right now they’re offering 40% off sitewide.
James, on the other hand, most of the time went for another icon brand, Lee. And, like Marlon, his preferred denim uniform also consisted of a sexy fitted white tee and a black motorcycle jacket or a windbreaker. And often a fitted white button down shirt layered under a soft v-neck cashmere sweater.
To be exact, James’ preferred Lee jeans were the classic straight leg Lee 101Z Rider jeans. James wore them either pretty fitted, exactly like the 2020 popular slim fit jeans, or super long and a bit slouchier. Both ways – he absolutely rocked in his denims, always 😉
And just in case you haven’t noticed – yeah, cuffing your jeans, wearing them rolled up at the ankles, is very okay. Back then as well as nowadays.
