Because it’s always interesting to know what we will be wearing the next seasons. And also because it makes it easier to choose what to buy and wear RN and well into the next months.
This is what we love about lookbooks. So here’s a new and cool one from German brand, CLOSED for you guys. Oh and btw – when you go to their website ….
And yeah, we can’t wait for this year to be finally over and gone and taking all the bad things with it AWAY.
Ok, back to the looks for the guys this coming spring and summer 2021:
“The early drop of the spring collection is called “The Artist Atelier” and puts Jean-Michel Basquiat in focus. His incredible coolness and carefree lifestyle inspired the spring collection. New York in his day was a never-ending source of inspiration.
The Closed design team updated and reworked the utility trend once more. The main theme of the collection is very clear and can be easily described with the following keywords: comfort, sustainability, protection and better basics. These values are demonstrated in the choice of qualities and shapes.
The silhouettes are roomy – and convey Closed’s positive attitude. Relaxed fitting chinos and denims create the look. Tops, knits, sweats and jackets also come in wider fits. Protective outerwear on a high level, in both quality and workmanship, sets the tone. Rich calfskin and lambskin add a masculine luxury level.
A natural choice for Closed and one of the most important forces today is our extended use of thought-through sustainable and organic qualities, workmanship and washes. This is outstandingly important for our denim. What’s more, half of the collection is eco-friendly – even 85 per cent in denim!
The color scheme is clear and easy to understand. It plays with standard menswear colors, but the level and intensity turn them into surprisingly fresh tones. A stunning key color, chartreuse yellow, and a hint of cadmium blue spice up the palette and are only found in tops. The well-balanced weights, the hand-feel of comfort and elements of protection and the fresh colors in this collection lead us right into 2021.”
“The Closed Men summer 2021 collection draws inspiration from the early 70s TV series MAS*H, which was based on a Robert Altman movie. The iconic US-dramedy series tells the story of a very mixed crowd of characters. Mixing the American military with a hippie vibe – always tongue-in-cheek – creates the unique atmosphere of the series.
Picking up on this mood, Closed came up with a modern take on military designs, translated into 2021: relaxed military designs meet the colorful easiness of the seventies.
Wide fits for tops and lower garments are set as the new standard, continuing the development of the spring collection. Comfort is an important keyword for the collection which is not only emphasized with relaxed silhouettes, but also with well-settled stretch materials for the more streamlined pants fits.
Only light, easy and sophisticated fabrics set the tone: from the top-end finest goat suede for a relaxed tunic shirt down to the Pima-cotton stretch qualities for pants. And by the way: 39 per cent of the collection is eco-friendly, thanks to the use of sustainable fabrics.
The standard menswear colors have also been upgraded for this collection: examples are
advanced military shades from grey fir and green bark to hickory beige. Ecru creates a light base, wisteria lilac adds freshness. Of course, navy sits in there comfortably.
For the high-summer drop, light greige is combined with cobble grey, white and ecru, while deep grapefruit serves as a highlight tone. Pigment color washes for denim and sweats bring even more freshness to the range. The pattern of the season, a woodcut-inspired flower print, appears widely in the collection. Some very light checks are also thrown in.
Denim is a constant partner for all looks and varies from ecru for chino-based styles to authentic blue washes for the new straight denim fits. More calm salt ’n’ pepper washes are seen for the widest leg and for the classic X-Lent. Relaxed straight-leg front flats are in focus. And of course: sustainability and organic denim are big players for the whole range, with 67 per cent of the denims being part of the Closed eco-line A BETTER BLUE.“
