Eiza Gonzales was photographed at the San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood. She sported a pair of high waisted wide leg jeans and a super cool cropped suede jacket featuring long fringes.
Eiza’s jeans …. oh well, we don’t usually like to complain, but this time…. The jeans just don’t fit right, they’re at least one size too small for Eiza – you can clearly see the wrinkles on the front of the hips and at the crotch. When shopping for wide leg jeans you always need to watch out that they don’t fit too tight. Even if you are tempted to buy a size smaller, wide leg jeans and a tight fit are just not consistent, doesn’t make sense.
Another thing we are not too crazy about are the symmetrically feathered rips along the front of the legs, they do look a bit too artificial.
If you are looking to buy distressed and ripped jeans, you should always make sure that the distressing looks as authentic as possible. Not an easy treat, we know! But just try to think of where – in real life – the distressing would naturally be if those jeans were your well loved an worn pair. Very likely not on the upper part of your tights, right;-)
This said, here are a couple of suggestions for wide leg jeans that are actually “natural” looking: MOUSSY VINTAGE Teaneck Wide-Leg Jeans, MANGO Wide Leg High Waist Jeans (size inclusive), H&M Wide High Jeans (size inclusive), and SLVRLAKE Grace High Rise Wide Leg Jeans.
