Kendall Jenner just gave us a cool DIY inspo! She wore a pair of jeans with a custom painted huge flower on the front of the hips. Doesn’t that remind you of those times when we were all into distressing and painting and even embroidering our own jeans? The only way back then… because you could not yet buy them ready made anywhere.
So the thing is you can either spend $500+ for a pair of ready made Juliet Johnstone jeans, like these from Kendall. Or you can DIY on any pair of jeans you already own.
Kendall’s jeans are a lower rise straight leg style with front knife pockets in a clean light blue wash. She teamed them with a “fashion-demands” cropped white tank top and Birkenstock clogs. Birkenstocks are having a moment again this summer, and are considered one of the biggest summer footwear must-do. You can find some good options here and here.
Are you up for some DIY experiments? Check out this feature – there’s a step-by-step how-to. And if you don’t want to “risk” a pair of your beloved jeans, we suggest buying a pair of clean wash not too expensive one and – go for it!
A couple of good options are the Old Navy High-Waisted O.G. Straight Button-Fly Grey Cut-Off Jeans ($39), H&M Mom Loose-fit Ultra High Jeans ($20), Missguided Double Waistband Boyfriend Jeans, and boohoo has tons of cool jeans for under $20.
