low-rise jeans

And here’s another lower-rise denim loving lady! Mila Kunis wore a pair of distressed skinny ankle jeans and an oversized Acne Studios Mohair sweater while enjoying a day out in Los Angeles.

Yep, we’re once again seeing a lot more skinny jeans out there than we did in the past seasons. And it is obvious, no matter what fashionistas, Millennials, and Gen Z’s say, skinny jeans are not going anywhere anytime. They might not be the most top trend, but they will always be present and part of any denim wearing man and woman.

Mila’s jeans are from 7 For All Mankind, the Ankle Skinny With Destroy featuring rips and distressing along the front of the legs. Now, here’s the thing. We don’t really love the artificial distressing like the ones on the jeans shown here. We prefer a more realistic look – like, how the heck to you get a “real” distressing on the upper part of the legs?

This said, there are tons of skinny jeans out there with authentic looking rips and distressing, or even in just a clean wash with a single knee rip. To know more, stay tuned for our feature about “authentic” rips and the likes coming up soon.

Check out some of the skinnies our reviewers are wearing right now from BLANKNYC – Distressed Stretch Organic Cotton Skinny Jeans, DL1961 – Florence Instasculpt Skinny Jeans in Pacific, Citizens of Humanity – Chrissy High Rise Skinny Jeans (available in sizes 23 to 34), and the staple FRAME skinnies which became the brand’s trademark style – Le Skinny de Jeanne.
