From the NYFW Spring/Summer 2026 circuit, several denim styles and details stood out. We’re talking about textures, fits, washes, and the ways designers are playing with denim. The vibes we felt were both familiar and fresh.

Below you can find some of the key trends:

Relaxed & Loose Fits
Baggy, barrel-leg, wide-leg, even flares are very present. Comfort + movement are being weighted heavily this season.
Distressing & Rips, Y2K-Edgy DetailsRipped jeans make a big comeback, with degrees of distress ranging from mild to dramatic. Rhinestone embellishments & blinged details are layering that edge.
Double & Triple Denim / Denim on DenimMatching denim pieces together – jackets, coats, shirts – sometimes in monochrome washes, sometimes mixed washes. Triple layers are making statements.
Creative Wash & Finish VariationsLight bleach, dark wash as well as faded indigo, “dusty” mid-blues. Also overdyes, pigment tinting, and strong contrasts. Some denim is being treated in unusual ways (laser washes, artist-style fading).
Extra Long & Wide-LegExtreme long hems, wide-legs, very baggy and oversized
Structural & Artisanal DetailsDetails such as front seams, pleating, panel work, contrast stitching. Some designers using denim in more sculptural or pleated forms.
Preppy / Tailored DenimHigh-rise, skinny or slim jeans paired with structured blazers, collared shirts – but still denim. Polished but with workwear roots.

Below you can find some very interesting examples about what to expect in Spring 2026:

Collina Strada – Extreme baggy cargos layered with a “hint” of a pleated mini skirt

R13 – Wide-leg jeans with overlong inseams

Coach – Double denim with a midi skirt

Khaite – Dark wash denim with contrasting wide fold-over cuffs

Aknvas – Non-stretch denim in oversized fits, ruffle trims and paneled details. pleated mini skirts

Simkhai – Extreme rips

Guess Jeans and Jeanologia bring the future of denim to Tokyo.

Guess Airwash™, developed by Jeanologia, makes history by replacing traditional stonewashing with air.

From July 4 to 12, Harajuku, Tokyo’s iconic fashion district, will host “The Next 40 Years of Denim”, an immersive exhibition presented by GUESS to celebrate the past and future of denim. This unique experience blends heritage, innovation, and sustainability to mark the beginning of a new chapter, the era of air.

Already showcased in Florence and Amsterdam, the exhibition now arrives in Tokyo, bringing its global message to one of the world’s most trendsetting cities.

At the center of this transformation is Guess Airwash™, disruptive technologies developed by Jeanologia that replaces traditional stonewashing. Using air, light, and nanobubbles, it eliminates pumice stones, drastically reduces water consumption, by up to 80%, and avoids harmful chemicals and excessive energy use, while maintaining the iconic authentic denim look.

“We are proud to partner with GUESS in bringing this revolution to Japan,” says Carmen Silla, Marketing Director at Jeanologia. “Guess Airwash™ represents the perfect fusion of fashion, technology, and environmental responsibility. Its arrival in Japan is a milestone in our shared mission to transform the denim industry.”

The exhibition features a live Airwash Lab, offering behind-the-scenes insight into sustainable denim production with Jeanologia’s cutting-edge technologies, laser, e-flow, and G2 ozone. Visitors can also enjoy a customization area, where they receive a denim tote bag to personalize with high-precision laser engraving. Local artists such as Ryota Daimon and A Love Movement add personal touches.

Additionally, the newly opened GUESS flagship store in Shibuya now features Jeanologia’s Nano laser technology, offering in-store customizations with a fast, precise, and eco-friendly process.

“The Next 40 Years of Denim” is more than an exhibition, it’s a statement. It proves that denim can be authentic, creative, and sustainable all at once. And Tokyo, with its forward-thinking spirit, is the perfect place to take the next step.

Last year we have featured Adriano Goldschmied partnering with Pioneer Denim to co‑create capsule collections under Daily Blue by AG + Pioneer Denim. You can read more here.

The focus of this collaboration is future-minded denim featuring sustainable yarns, low-impact dyes, advanced washes and finishing sourced from technologies by Tonello, Jeanologia, Officina39, Soko, Bluesign, ZDHC, among others.

Last week SOKO was hosting the exclusive presentation of the second collection designed by Adriano Goldschmied for Pioneer Denim.

The event took place in the stunning courtyard of the Soko Projects Division in Florence. This special occasion celebrates Adriano’s iconic design vision, crafted on premium Pioneer denim and washed on site in front of guests with Soko’s innovative processes.

Attendees were taken on a journey that reveals the beauty of the Pioneer’s fabric – African cotton and Soko’s Hydrogel, a cutting-edge technology developed to significantly reduce water consumption in Denim washing.

The same fabric and process have also been used to create unique work of arts:

– The precious Delight lamp by Oceano Oltreluce

– An exclusive silver jewel by Pianegonda

– Casual sneakers by Sturlini Firenze

Scroll down to see the beautiful and, very important, – sustainable -, collection in our gallery below.

Bottom line:

Pioneer Denim 2035 is a milestone in sustainable denim – melding Adriano Goldschmied’s fit and design prowess with eco-driven mill technology and creative vision.

Industry people at the 18th Bangladesh Denim Expo believe that the country will continue to be an indispensable global sourcing destination even during the times of tariff and trade wars. Capacity building and innovation will be the building stone for the industry to sail through the uncertain times.

The 2-day expo kicked off with 57 exhibitors from 13 countries participating. Including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, China, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Vietnam. UAE, Germany, Switzerland, and the USA.

“Bangladesh has emerged as the fastest-growing apparel exporter to the United States in the first quarter of 2025, posting the highest year-on-year growth of 26.64%. This performance placed Bangladesh ahead of other major exporters such as India with a 24.04% rise, while Pakistan, Vietnam, and China with the rise of 17.49%, 13.96%, and 4.18% respectively at a time when US market is volatile because of imposing worldwide reciprocal tariff by the Trump’s Administration recently. I think even on the negotiation table of the trade issues our card should be the industry’s steady progress towards skill development, sustainability and innovation. As we need our trade partners as much as their consumers need us’’ said Mostafiz Uddin, Founder & CEO of Bangladesh Denim Expo.

Bangladesh is the largest denim exporter both to the USA and Europe. The country is enjoying duty-free market access to the EU under the Everything But Arms (EBA) and Generalized Scheme of Preferences (GSP) as an least developed country (LDC); but the status to be changed to a developing nation next year.

If Bangladesh could not attain GSP Plus, the country from 2029 could not export duty free to the EU, the region accounts for 50.15% of Bangladesh’s total apparel export.

“In the last edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo, we had experts panel sessions on the LDC graduation where all the speakers unanimously stressed on the capacity building of the industry to cope up with the changing tariff regimes.  So, in this edition of the expo, all the panel sessions we designed are solely meant for capacity building of both the professionals and the industry. You may also say that from this edition we shifted from plans to actions to prepare Bangladesh’s denim industry for 2029 and beyond,’’ added Mostafiz Uddin.

There are two panel sessions scheduled for the two-day event on the topics “The growth of the Bangladesh denim industry, through the perspective of denim washing” and “Stretch-ability of Bangladesh denim traceability”.

Abdus Samad, Director, Well of Washing, Arief Labu, Co-founder & Creative Director, Ruhrose RBT Ltd. Julie Davies, GM – Processing Innovation, and Education Extension, The Woolmark Company, Kamal Uddin Mia, Chief Operation Officer (Washing), Bitopi Group, Marco Volpi, Head of Sales for the Europe and Africa region, Bluesign Technologies AG, Md. Forhad Hossain, Owner, Pure Chemicals, Raquib Imtiaz, Business manager, LC WAIKIKI, Reza e Rabbi, Head of Operation, Vertex Wear Limited,  Shohel Rana, CEO, Designer Fashion LTD and Designer Wash LTD, are sharing their expert insights in the panel sessions.

Happening also is a special presentation on ‘The denim business beside sewing and wash production’ by Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Head of Operation, Square Denims Ltd, Garment Unit.

At the expo also a fashion trend-zone is set up to showcase cutting-edge denim innovations and unique fabrics from Bangladesh.

SAINt JHN took the stage at Coachella Weekend 2 in a one-of-a-kind custom look created in collaboration with LEVI’S® and Who Decides War. Thus merging streetwear, spiritual symbolism, and SAINt’s signature love of denim.

The look was not just fashion, it was a visual sermon, seamlessly tying together SAINt JHN’s aesthetic, and his powerful musical presence.

Coming off the release of his new album ‘Festival Season’, and currently in the midst of his tour of the same name, this year’s Coachella marked a monumental moment for SAINt. This actually is his first-ever performance at the iconic music festival.

“This wasn’t just about what I wore—it was about what I stand for,” said SAINt JHN. “Denim has always been part of my story. And the cross, the symbolism of faith, of struggle, of beauty in redemption – that’s my real life. That’s SAINt JHN. Who Decides War brought that to life with Levi’s in a way that felt honest, grounded, and elevated.”

SAINt JHN is known for starting each performance with a side-stage prayer and closing every show by praying with his audience—rituals that make his performances more than concerts to him. With Who Decides War’s gospel-infused, deconstructed denim and LEVI’S® timeless Americana DNA, the look felt like an extension of his brand.

“Collaborating with SAINt JHN was effortless,” said Ev Bravado and Téla D’Amore, co-founders of Who Decides War. “Every piece in this collaboration for SAINt JHN’s Coachella Weekend 2 look is crafted from upcycled Levi’s, reimagined with our in-house airbrushing technique to achieve a worn-in effect. Signature thorn appliqué wraps the waistband, paired with custom leather stained glass patches – hallmarks of Who Decides War. The jacket is finished with original artwork inspired by the artist himself.”

Diesel presented their Fall/Winter 2025 collection in Milan and brace yourselves!

Get ready for the lowest low-rise jeans making a total comeback. And yeah, butt crack included! And denim skirts so short that it put the no-pants look to shame!

The show show was all about a radical reinvention of style, blending elevation with disruption with denim and tailoring undergoing a bold transformation.

The show’s backdrop – the world’s largest graffiti installation – spanned three kilometers of canvas, created by a global collective of 7,000 street artists, amateurs as well as professionals. Diesel’s creative director, Glenn Martens, describes this collaboration as a testament to the brand’s commitment to creative democracy, granting each artist complete freedom of expression.

In our gallery below you can check out the highlights of Diesel’s F/W 2025 collection. And you should definitely watch the video of the complete show. We promise it’ll be worth it!

Oh and – have you noticed that glassy out-of-focus look of most of the model’s eyes? We wonder what’s behind that idea, Glenn Martens 🙂

Diesel’s shredded feathered destroyed look absolutely continues…

And yeah, about super lowest rise jeans…

And more looks…

Enjoy the show!

Dsquared2 celebrated its 30th anniversary during Milan Fashion Week with a raucous runway show that opened with rapper Doecchi spilling out of an armored vehicle full of dollar bills and closed with fashion royalty Naomi Campbell in a leather biker bodysuit.

For their anniversary show against the backdrop of a New York City nightclub, the twins pulled together star-studded cast featuring models Isabeli Fontana and Irina Shayk and rapper NLE Choppa. And a procession of hot rods, including a McClaren, a Porsche, a limo and a police car.

At the end of the catwalk, Doechii pulled out a cigarette from the makeshift carton affixed to her sleeve. Her edgy ensemble, emblematic of the label’s Y2K-coded aesthetic. consisted of a backpack-slash-corset with paracord laces and fur trim, a high-low graphic top and belted denim micro shorts.
