Studded jeans are emerging as one of Summer 2026’s re-emerging denim trends.

The other day, I was out with a friend who’s an ex-model and definitely in the very tall category. And of course, extremely long legs! And she was wearing a pair of jeans that actually covered her ankles.

Yeah, for tall women, the biggest denim problem in 2026 is still about jeans that almost fit… until your ankles are freezing.

Yes, colored jeans are genuinely back for Spring 2026. But not in the “mint skinny jeans from 2012” way. Fashion seems to have collectively agreed to bring them back with better taste.

What’s back is “grown-up” colored denim: muted, sophisticated, and styled almost like tailored trousers. Fashionistas are calling out non-blue denim as one of the season’s biggest updates, especially earth tones and soft pastels.

And this is one of the more interesting denim shifts this spring.

Most relevant colors this spring:

Chocolate brown or mocha, which is probably he biggest “safe colored denim trend. The vibe is quiet luxury denim. Because not only does this color feel luxurious but is also easy to pair with other colors like cream, white, black, blue, and butter yellow. It is also the easiest non-blue jean to wear.

Deep red, cherry, burgundy – definitely gaining momentum, more fashion-forward than mainstream. If you wear it, keep everything else simple.

Pastel pink which is washed-out and dusty, not bubblegum or hot pink “chaos”. More like dusty pink or soft rose.

So: don’t toss your blue jeans, But if you want your denim to feel more current this spring, colored denim is one of the clearest updates happening right now.

If you’re trying one colored jean this spring, start with chocolate brown. It gives you the trend without looking like you’re auditioning for a 2010 Tumblr revival.

Kacey Musgraves launched her second collaboration with Reformation this fall. A continuation of her focus on sustainability and also her personal style.

Continuing her first collaboration with the brand in 2023. this new collection blends modern cottage core aesthetics with a nod to her country roots. The 17-piece collection offers a range of earthy tones, structured silhouettes, and cozy knits. Some standout items include jeans and a denim corset, leather riding boots, plaid coats, and cashmere sets. Great options for transitioning from fall into winter.

Designed with eco-consciousness in mind, the pieces are made of recycled and regenerative materials, aligning with Reformation’s sustainable values. Musgraves describes the collection as an extension of her Deeper Well era, evoking a sense of calm, and timelessness. Qualities she seeks in both her music and fashion.

When it came to designing the items in the collection, Musgraves didn’t take a back seat. She worked on the line with the brand focusing on even the smallest of details. “Down to button placement, hook and eye placement,” she says. Adding that the design process was “really fun.”

“I was very involved with every aspect” Musgraves says. “I want people to know that it’s not something that I just slapped my name on for a paycheck. I genuinely care so much, and I approached this like a collection that I would personally want to wear. That I would want to see my friends wearing”.
