What we like about this collaboration is that the two brands have joined force to help prevent textile waste. Oh, besides denim being involved, of course!
Contemporary Cornish clothing brand, Seasalt, and Beyond Retro have joined forces to create a limited-edition capsule collection. Each one-of-a-kind piece was crafted using repurposed denim.
Since the start of the relationship between Seasalt and Beyond Retro, their shared goal has been about giving quality fabrics a second chapter and therefore paving the way for a more responsible clothing future. Both brands are dedicated to sustainability.
“Beyond Retro has always been a brand that is firmly on our radar”, says Seasalt Creative’s Director, Laura Watson. “Their unique offering and brand ethos directly aligns with ours at Seasal. “We knew that whatever we worked on together would need to be true to both brands in terms of responsibility as well as offering an exceptional product to our customers.”
Designed to reduce textile waste within the clothing industry, the capsule collection consists of three popular Seasalt silhouettes, reimagined for the collaboration. Included are a pair of cropped jeans, a pinafore dress and a workwear style jacket. Each piece is made of patchwork denim using preloved, post-consumer denim sorted in Beyond Retro’s factory in India.
The collection comes in sizes 8-18 and will be available online and in selected Seasalt shops as of March 2nd.
