TCB Jeans – “From The Good Old Days”

Japanese

Founded by Hajime Inoue in 2012 in Kojima, Okayama, a city famed for denim production, TCB stands for “Taking Care of Business”. And also affectionately “Two Cats Brand,” honoring Inoue’s love of cats.

“Denim of the people, by the people, for the people.”

Specializing in recreating classic American denim form the 1920’s to the 1960’s, TCB is a tribute to Inoue’s fascination with American culture.

His interest in vintage workwear, especially the characters and fades of the 1940/50’s Levi’s styles led him to create his own denim brand. Inoue’s pursuit resulted in not only faithful reproductions but also to improvements to the original quality.

Also worth mentioning is the fact that TCB owns its sewing factory, operates vintage Union Special looms, and crafts its jeans entirely in-house. And that includes fabric sourcing, cutting, and stewing – all made by the founder’s team.

Their workshop utilizes century-old sewing machines producing some really exceptional reproductions. Connecting the past with the present and the brand’s devotion to craftmanship makes them outstanding in the denim world.

TCB produces men’s as well as women’s denim and also a range of caps and hats.

Probably the most outstanding TBC production are the S40’s Jeans. The cut, the construction and every tiny detail is faithfully reproduced from the original Levi’s 501XX. Check out the gallery below:
