Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2027 Lookbook

For Spring/Summer 2027, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented “Vacanze Siciliane” (Sicilian Holidays), a collection inspired by the relaxed elegance of Sicily in the 1950s and 1960s.

“Sicily is the starting point: the source and soul of a house whose creative expression has always been shaped by the island’s light, culture, contrasts , and craft.”

Lightweight suits with perforated floral embroidery, denim trousers and jackets decorated with colourful, jewel-like appliqués, and shirts printed with postcard-style images and lemons. Denim was woven into this Mediterranean narrative rather than treated as rugged workwear.

The denim story featured jeans decorated with jewel-like embellishments, including crystal embroidery, turquoise- and coral-like stones, and metallic appliqués.

Even though some looks incorporated distressed denim, the embellishments elevated classic denim into eveningwear territory. The same kind of embellishments also appeared throughout the collection on jackets, shirts, trousers, denim, and footwear, creating a cohesive handcrafted theme.

To sum it up, this collection reinforces a growing trend for decorative denim. Classic jeans enhanced with embroidery, crystals, and artisanal embellishment rather than dramatic changes to fit or wash. Alongside the return to dark indigo and straighter silhouettes, Dolce & Gabbana shows that embellishment is becoming a key way for luxury houses to differentiate denim while preserving its everyday wearability.
