Denim Looks We đŸ’™During The NYFW Shows

spring

From the NYFW Spring/Summer 2026 circuit, several denim styles and details stood out. We’re talking about textures, fits, washes, and the ways designers are playing with denim. The vibes we felt were both familiar and fresh.

Below you can find some of the key trends:

Relaxed & Loose Fits
Baggy, barrel-leg, wide-leg, even flares are very present. Comfort + movement are being weighted heavily this season.
Distressing & Rips, Y2K-Edgy DetailsRipped jeans make a big comeback, with degrees of distress ranging from mild to dramatic. Rhinestone embellishments & blinged details are layering that edge.
Double & Triple Denim / Denim on DenimMatching denim pieces together – jackets, coats, shirts – sometimes in monochrome washes, sometimes mixed washes. Triple layers are making statements.
Creative Wash & Finish VariationsLight bleach, dark wash as well as faded indigo, “dusty” mid-blues. Also overdyes, pigment tinting, and strong contrasts. Some denim is being treated in unusual ways (laser washes, artist-style fading).
Extra Long & Wide-LegExtreme long hems, wide-legs, very baggy and oversized
Structural & Artisanal DetailsDetails such as front seams, pleating, panel work, contrast stitching. Some designers using denim in more sculptural or pleated forms.
Preppy / Tailored DenimHigh-rise, skinny or slim jeans paired with structured blazers, collared shirts – but still denim. Polished but with workwear roots.

Below you can find some very interesting examples about what to expect in Spring 2026:
