For Spring/Summer 2026 we see a revival of crafts such as embroidery, passementerie and textile finishing, among others. And Indian designer, Dhruv Kapoor’s Spring 2026 collection is a very good example.
The collection is titled “Foundations & Futures”. Kapoor frames the show as a merging of past, present and future. Taking foundation (or basic) garments which typically stand beneath or outside the spotlight, and projecting them into a future wardrobe.
As for the denims in this collection, Kapoor uses it in the form of baggy oversized jeans and jackets. Embellished, over-printed, and decorated, denim in this collection is part of traditional Indian wardrobe references (kurta, bandhgala, petticoat).It’s part of a larger narrative rather than the sole focus.
If you’re looking for pure, raw denim and vintage washes, Kapoor’s collection might not really be for you. The emphasis is more on fashion interpretation than classic denim workwear.
