GAP-Studio Capsule: Denim Dress-Up

Gap

Gap has unveiled its latest fashion endeavor, GapStudio, under the creative direction of Zac Posen.

Posen joined Gap as Executive Vice President and Creative Director in February 2024. This new line aims to blend Gap’s classic American style with high-fashion elements, offering sophisticated pieces at accessible price points.

And there is definitely also some cool denim included. Not the “regular” kind of denim we are used to see in all Gap collection. But more tailored and dressier options. Like The Denim Tailored Trench Coat, a Double-Breasted Denim Blazer, and matching separates, including High Rise Sailor Jeans, and a Denim Sailor Skort ($118) showcase new proportions and finishes.

The 51-piece line, called Collection 01, features 24 styles in sizes XXS to XXL and 00-16, according to a spokesperson. Prices range from $78 to $248, and items include outerwear, separates and two new colorways of a poplin shirtdress.

Collection 01 is available online and in 10 stores in New York, California, New Jersey, Florida and Illinois, as well as in select international markets. An ad campaign accompanying the release was shot by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Alastair McKimm, and features models Alex Consani, Imaan Hammam and Anok Yai.
